Facts are things that are proven to be true. No one can question it, as facts are not meant to be changed. "The world is round", is a fact, you can not change the world or try to modify it. So facts are meant to be accepted.
From factual things, a story is made and it is grown but once we run out of facts, we need to use our imagination to keep the story moving. Imagine a book where everything is just a fact, will it not be boring?
