" Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. "
- Mahatma Gandhi
A person should not be frightened to live and learn throughout their lives. "Live as if you were going to die tomorrow." encourages individuals to accomplish things in life they've always wanted to do because their time is running out, and "Learn as if you were going to live forever." encourages people to learn as if they're going to live forever. Learning is the most important thing you can do in life if you want to live forever. Learning is something that you take in rather than something that you get tired of.
Living forever also allows individuals to grow throughout their lives. If you lived forever, you would never run out of things to learn.
