As a large chunk of popular history suggests that we have transformed from monkeys into the version that human beings are today. But really are we totally different from animals? I mean animal instincts accompany us till date. We are terretorial, we lure potential partners, we toil from day to night for food, and we don't trust someone who betrays us. We think that people don't change, they always behave according to their basic philosophy. So we'd keep believing that the knife would cut even if it's blunt. Good or bad, we expect people to behave in the same way that they behaved in past. And even though we're aware that there are exceptions, we don't expect people to change their primal behaviour. A liar will always be a liar for us, even if he says the truth.
