The art of deception is more strange than you might think. We have always been taught that honesty is the best policy but it does not hold true in every situation.
It does not mean that one must lie about themselves. You should always speak the truth and never try to deceive others. But in some situations you don't need to tell the whole truth, you can give partial information and conceal the veracity of the given situation. Sometimes hiding the fact can help you get out of a problem because not everyone can handle the reality.
Be smart enough to know when to speak the truth, but never lie.
