5 ways to learn things super quickly

Do you have a good memory? or a bad one? Well, It doesn't matter. We often compare ourselves with some people about how quickly they can learn things, but without properly knowing the strategy we start learning many things and end up in disappointment. Yes, the world is advancing and new things are coming up. It's difficult to be skilled at just one skill, we need to know more of it. So, here are some ways you can learn things quickly.

1.Quality of input

We know that Quality is always measured against quantity. Most people have the habit of learning all at once. They try to consume everything to reach their goals. It's a good practice to be hungry and sanguine for your success, but the right path is necessary. We tend to feed our minds from all sorts of information, but it's important to note that too much input can decrease our learning capacity. As you try to gain more and more information, you are likely to forget it. But when you try to apply the knowledge you gained, you will remember it in the long run. As the application is necessary with understanding things. Scientific study shows that your brain capacity increases when you start using the data which is stored in your memory. If you just keep referring tutorials or reading content, it will result in superficial learning. You should learn things deeply and from the right source. Investing time in finding the right content is better than wasting time learning the wrong one. So, stop feeding your brain with too much input and start striving to make it better.

2. Visualization

If I ask you what is an apple? I know the most common thing you will think right now is what kind of question is this. And yes apple is a fruit, that's obvious. But what made you come up with this answer? The information in your brain was fed when you were a child. When you read the word 'apple', immediately a red-figure came in your mind from which your senses detected that this is a fruit. This information was recollected by your memory and that picture became a thought. And that thought leads to words and you answered it. This is the processing of our minds. For better learning, we need to understand how we retain stuff from our mind, how we can remember some things and some not.

Visualizing things can make you remember it for a long time. Whenever you're reading something, make a pictorial representation of it. You can also make an imaginary story that would help you remember. The best example is movie vs books if you watch a movie and after that, you read a book, after a few days, if we ask you what you learned from both movie and book, you are most likely to remember the movie, you can give all the details of the movie you watched because it affects your senses, engages your feelings and there's a story behind it. But when we talk about the book you have read, most of the things you won't be able to recollect. Because reading needs revision, it's consistent practice. But when you watch something, it sticks with you forever. So, visualization results in potential learning.

3. Teaching someone

A person who cannot explain things to others, have not understood the concept himself. This is true as teaching is an interactive process and when you tend to explain things to others, you are more likely to grasp it properly. This will speed up your learning process, as when you have to teach any topic the next day, you won't waste your time thinking or you won't be distracted. You would start making notes and presentation, you will hunt the whole web for veracious information and with the time limit in your mind, you will learn it in a day, as you have to teach someone.

While delivering the content, you come across some information that you might have missed out, when people ask you questions on that topic your brain will start thinking of an answer. You will retain every bit of detail you studied and would try to map a solution. This will also improve your problem-solving skills and learning material. If you don't have anyone to teach to, start teaching yourself. Look in front of the mirror and start explaining your notes as if you're explaining to others, this helps in effective research and studying strategy.

4.Commitment to learning

As learning is a lifelong process, you can't escape from it. No matter in whichever field you are, there is constant learning. Many successful entrepreneurs, businessmen, and leaders have reached the paramount of success because of their commitment to their field. They are successful because they don't give up when things are hard, they find a different way and make it happen. Commitment is important to learn things quickly, as when you make your mind to do something you will have a clarity of work in your hand. This will make your process of learning effective as you apply time constraints. You have to stick with it, even if you fail to understand, change the process of studying but don't quit. As when you keep evolving your mind will expand to new dimensions, your ability to think and make decisions will have a great impact. You might have observed that some people can learn things pretty quickly, and some might take much time. Why does this happen? Because they adapt to change and are highly focused, some are natural learners and they praise failure more than success, as they learn from them. This way they become strong at it and constantly gain the habit of learning. So, learning things and being persistent in it would result in quick grasping power.

5. Making time for other things

So far we have just mentioned how to learn and be an effective and quick learner, but can you learn all day? 24/7? No right. You would be exhausted and sometimes it might lead to stress with work pressure. This will degrade your learning ability, you need to make time for different things. Like meditation or exercise, as they are proven to be effective for the blood circulation in our brain. For learning, you need to rest. Give time to your family and friends, travel outside, listen to music or maybe just sit down and observe yourself. We want to learn everything quickly and become successful, but we fail to work on our brain through which we work the most. Don't do multitasking all the time. You won't ever be satisfied and there will be something which will be left out. So, learn to be happy in the process of learning, get regular sleep, and work on yourself sometimes. This is the most necessary thing when you want to achieve something.

As life is short and it's just one, so why not make it worth living, right? Feed yourself with proper resources by commitment towards learning and make time to explore yourself.
